Electro-Acuscope & Myopulse Therapy Systems

The Acuscope and Myopulse are FDA approved medical instruments which were originally designed and calibrated to treat humans in a clinical setting. For over twenty years now, these instruments have also been designed and calibrated to treat equines and other animals.

The Acuscope was designed to scan and treat the body for multiple painful conditions using a low amperage microcurrent to stimulate the body. By working directly through the Central Nervous System the Acuscope has access to all areas of the body to deliver the microcurrent therapy that it has to offer.

The Myopulse is a similar medical instrument designed to be used alongside the Acuscope. The Myopulse uses the same microcurrent, structured in a different wave form to gain direct access to muscles and soft and connective tissues such as tendons and ligaments.

When the Acuscope and Myopulse are used together, the treatment is complete and the horse receives the most benefit from the program.

The Acuscope and Myopulse have a unique biofeedback system which allows the instruments to measure the conductivity and electrical capacity of the tissue being engaged. The numerical reading from this system generally indicates that abnormally low readings are a result of a lower tissue conductivity and chronic pain and abnormally higher readings are a result of higher tissue conductivity and high areas of inflammation.

Both instruments can help to normalize these tendencies in the body by the specific electrical waveform which is introduced from the instrument. The Acuscope provides an electrical current which pulses damaged nerve tissues to help return them to a normal function. The Myopulse uses a different waveform to help influence self-repair within the cells of the muscles and tissues.

The Acuscope and Myopulse offer multiple different treatment options by identifying a disruption in the energy flow maintained between cells which are generally caused by some form of trauma. The instruments provide a similar electrical microcurrent which occurs naturally in the body to improve circulation and provide the energy which cells require to self-heal themselves and provide a healthy environment within the body. In addition to promoting a healthy environment for cells to heal, the microcurrent causes the body to generate endorphins which are naturally occurring pain suppressors which results in pain relief.
